The Archival Archrival – A Short Play
Frank: Hey, Brian. Can I talk to you for a minute?
Brian: Sure, Frank. What’s up?
Frank: Yeh, so maybe you’ve noticed that office space is getting a little tight because we’ve added several filing cabinets and we’ve also got file boxes stacking up pretty high. I was wondering if maybe we could get a bit more space so we could actually move around and do the job we’re hired to do?
Brian: I’m glad you brought that up, Frank, because it is a problem. But I need to be frank, Frank. We don’t have any more space. With the cost of office space in New York City, I don’t want to use it for more document storage. So, what’s your garage looking like these days? Maybe we could start storing files there. You’re close by, right?
Frank: Well, Brian, I think the mice in my garage might be thrilled to have new nesting material, but I don’t think my wife would appreciate that idea. What I was thinking was, maybe we could move the files to an off-site company where we could archive less-frequently-used files.
