Tip #1: Box Barcode Care
When you prepare boxes to go offsite to DocuSafe please take a moment to press the bar code firmly on to the end of the box. Recently we have noticed that boxes coming into the archive have loose barcode labels and labels with curling edges. Our first thought was that the adhesive must not be working properly. However upon testing we found the adhesive was working well. Please remember to press the labels firmly to the boxes insuring that all edges are pressed down. This will help us keep your documents safe and easily identified for fast retrieval.
Tip #2: Backup Tape Testing
Don't get caught with a faulty backup tape! Your data is critical to the financial health of your company. So be sure to periodically spot test the tapes to be certain that the backup is taking properly. Once you have run your backup take one of the tapes and test it. The peace of mind to you and your company will be well worth the time.
